Review

I fell in love with Chloe from Battant, her few words in french (with a "so british" accent), and the band's simple rock (simple in a good way!). Their garage/rock sound is right on, and they don't overdo it. Because in the end, what more to ask for than a great voice/guitar/keyboard combination, with Tim & Joel who play for Chloe, androgynous & charismatic contemporary rock muse. An alchemy that works, great garage with a modern twist.

Battant are Chloé, Tim and Joel. They formed in East London in 2005, and have played alongside Primal Scream, Two Lone Swordsmen, Ladytron, ADULT. and Nitzer Ebb. The sound is guitar tinged tech-electro chopped up with staccato vocals over pop sensibilities. more>>>
